Offertory in G Minor - "Don't Forget The Promise" (Organ Solo)

Candidly I threw this together in a flash the morning before a service,
but I quite enjoyed playing this one. It fits nicely under the hands. There
are moments where you need to switch manuals, take time to pause and
set correctly. Take a breath, make it musical.
The opening theme is a minor triad with a trill added, which is moved up
and down in repetition before ending with a descending line. By sheer
coincidence, the melody bears slight resemblence to the melody of part
of Scene 2 Act 2 of Verdi's Traviata, in the moment where Alfredo bests
the Baron in a game of cards.
The middle section elaborates the ending of the first melody in the key
of the subdominant before using the retrograde melody to arrive at the
dominant. The offertory concludes with an embellished version of the
first theme (please don't use my embelishments if you are able to put
your own spin on it!) and a fermata.
